So... I may be guilty of giving this thing a big, dramatic Hollywood ending.

Are already looking a lot fancier than page 1, just because I'm learning the software now. Kinda crazy that I've learned so much that I'm already looking back on work that was done three months ago and sort of cringing. I'm realizing that a lot of the earlier pages will need to be touched up and brought up to speed at the end.
Overall, its been a good project to cut my teeth on, so that when I begin Invincible Summer I'm not totally green. Special thanks to Jules again who took some time today to skype with me and share some coloring tips. Thanks again Jules!

The Impact Monster WIP

Is only half colored but I feel like I've already learned a ton about working in color, and how to be more efficient in terms of the actual workflow of making a full color comic. For one thing it will be done all in Photoshop and Manga Studio next time. No 3rd party stuff...

Didn't realize how labor intensive this would be. Its become a lot bigger in scope than I originally planned, but I've already been able to show it to prospective clients as a portfolio piece, and I've learned a TON in the process, so that is good.

The First Pass at the Impact Monster

A comic book I made for the US Forest Service in Alaska, in exchange for my time there. It's kind of like edutainment or a public service announcement for 3rd graders. The script was provided to me by the Forest Service Rangers. Its supposed to educate kids and the general public on how to care for the environment when you go camping in the wilderness.  The comic book section still needs to be cleaned up and colored.

Hello folks, all is quiet here as I pull together this comic book for the US Forest Service in Alaska. Its a comic book version of a skit called "The Impact Monster" that the Forest Service Rangers like to perform to the 3rd graders every earth day. It's supposed to teach kids good camping habits vs. bad camping habits. The comic book is 14 pages and so far I've inked 2. Got my work cut out for me definitely which is why I had to skip AAI this term , although I miss it. If I do one page a day I will have it done in 12 days, which is the goal. Then I need to send it up to Alaska and see what kind of comments I get back. I think the rest of the 12 pages will go quickly because they're in black and white. The cover took more time because its color and I had to design the logo.
