My Better Half

Yuji. Isn't it funny how a sometimes a preliminary sketch will have more character than the actual final drawing?

The Shadow Side

I believe it was Carl Jung who pioneered the term "Shadow Side" of the personality. I can't take credit for this sketch. It was done based off of an illustration my friend Marco sent me a while ago, although sadly I never got the artist's name. So he/she created this terrifying HR Giger looking illustration that inspired me to make this drawing. I was thinking this could be a manifestation or visual representation of a person's shadow side.

NYC Subway Series

No, its not the Yankees vs the Mets. Actually, I spilled thai curry on a tiny accordion style sketchbook, left it out to dry a while, and kind of forgot about it. Later on when I was frantically searching for a sketchbook to take home with me to NY, I decided to just roll with thai curry sketchbook. I decided to sketch people on the trains and then color it in with ink so that anyone just looking at it would be none the wiser. Points to anyone who can spot the smoking rat.

Oh, and I'm fairly certain the woman reading the newspaper was a tranny. I <3 NY.

Ratty McGee Development Sketches

So the camera died right in the middle of photographing page 26 of 42 pages of Ratty McGee storyboards. Now I see why no one works on paper anymore. Even though it looks cooler, and its more fun, scanning is a royal pain in the arse, especially when you have vast quantities of paper like storyboards or animation.  Anyhow, waiting for the camera to charge up. In the meantime here are some story moments of Harold.
