I liked Karl's lesson tonight. Its not about making pretty drawings. Its about pushing the envelope and taking risks. You don't hear that kind of talk very often in the classroom so its refreshing. I think I need to break out of my comfort zone and take some risks. I like that he's encouraging us to be individuals and express ourselves. Reminds me of NY. I'm going to start bringing some different materials to class to see how I can spice things up.

  1. Yassss spice it up LOL. Have you ever thought of drinking some whiskey before class? LOL. Just kidding. Kind of reminded me of how J0bs would ask programmers in interviews "have you ever taken LSD?" LOL. Hey, the classroom is for taking risks. Actually, your whole career is for taking risks. So tired of all these freaking art students doing the same work, using the same materials..blah blah blah. Down to the PENCIL or the TYPE of paper they want to be clones (of their teacher?). It's gotten to the point where if anyone does ANYTHING different, in that short window of time (before the others go "oh, that's cool, and COPY it, basically), it's INTERESTING.
Great work, btw. Loving the ladies :)
